A heartwarming story of a team of brothers, 12 in all, who formed their own baseball team in Depression-era LongBranch. Their story takes them through the years all the way to a ceremony at Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. Ocean Township Councilman Robert Acerra, son of one of the players, tells the family’s distinctive baseball history along with award-winning children’s book author, Audrey Vernick also of Ocean Township, in her inspiring book, Brothers at Bat.

The Township of Ocean Historical Museum, founded in 1984, is a member-supported, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated under the laws of the State of New Jersey. Its headquarters, the Eden Woolley House, is one of the few 18th-century structures still in existence in the Township. The museum serves as the ancestral home to every citizen of the Township of Ocean.
